FAQ
How old does my kiddo have to be?
-
Kids need to be 9 and older. We operate out of a commercial sized kitchen that is also a shared space with other local chefs. This means all of our equipment is full sized and younger kiddos tend to have a more difficult time adjusting to the space. Keep sharpening their skills at home and we'll see them in our kitchen when they're 9 or older!
What is your sick policy?
-
To protect the health and safety of all students, families, and staff, we require that children who are sick stay home. Per the CDC and Boulder County Health Department - your child must be symptom free for at least 24 hours before they can return to our kitchen.
-
Following the above policy helps ensure that we are maintaining a safe and clean kitchen because students handle ingredients and prepare food that others eat. Symptoms include any below:
-
Fever
-
Persistent cough
-
Sore throat
-
Runny nose
-
Vomit or nausea
-
Diarrhea
-
What is your cancellation/ no-show policy?
-
Cancelling two weeks before a program begins results in a full refund.
-
Cancelling one week before a program begins results in a 50% refund.
-
A cancellation with less than a week before a program begins results in no refund.
-
We carefully shop for each class and family to help reduce food waste. We hope you understand that when you cancel last minute we have to scramble to adjust ingredients.
What if my child or someone in our household has an allergy?

"No complaints from my 11 yo son! I met Gray at his booth at the Lafayette Farmer's Market. I signed my son up immediately. He attended for 4 days at the end of summer. We called it "culinary camp." We had so much delicious food for the week+. My kiddo really enjoyed it and we are attending more classes after school in Sept. Great value for training, meals + fun!"

"My 12 year old son loved his week at camp! He was so excited to show us what he made each day and we loved not having to plan dinner for the week. He gained a lot of confidence in the kitchen and even tried some new foods he wouldn’t have otherwise. I’d definitely recommend Grays classes to anyone who’s kiddo is looking for a fun new option!"

"My daughter had a great time and learned a lot! Since cooking with Gray she is taking the initiative to cook meals for the family on her own. I can tell she has new confidence in the kitchen. Also, all of the meals they made during the week were delicious and fed the whole family. What a treat!"
